Roi-Namur

Roi-Namur is a small remote Island in the Pacific. Part of the Kwajalein Atoll and the Marshall Islands, Roi-Namur is a beautiful little island with a rich history. Old Japanese Bunkers dot the island and a walk on the beach will contain coral, shells, spent ammunition, dumped military equipment and a washed up aircraft wing or 2. The snorkeling and scuba diving is fantastic, as is the fishing.

Roi is now a US Military owned island containing various space tracking and specialty radars of all sizes, shapes and frequencies.

Having been and lived on Roi twice has been an experience I will look back on with fondness. Though, I don’t think I ever want to go back (Sorry Roi-rats, it’s true).
